Gill, Jo & Vicky raised a combined £700 for CRUK when they took part in the CRUK Race for Life on Sunday 8th June at Sandwell Valley Country Park.
It was a beautiful day, but not ideal to be completing a 5km run/walk in 28°C!

As mentioned previously on the site, we raised £120 for the Edwards Trust at our 1st birthday bash on Thursday 5th June. Fundraising is great – especially when having such a great time.

Stourbridge Circle hosted the annual Area Circle Challenge Night and helped to raise money for Cara Dews (current Area Chairman) charity the British Heart Foundation.

45 Circlers from Walsall, Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Kidderminster and of course Stourbridge came together for a valentines themed quiz night. Spot prizes were given out for the best ‘wear your heart on your sleeve’ idea and the most impressive limerick (keep it clean girls!). The overall winner of the competition was Stourbridge Circle, but the true winner was the British Heart Foundation as £120 was raised during the evening.
NICE ONE GIRLS!
Stourbridge and District Ladies Circle are proud to announce that they raised a sum of £570 by organising a Quiz Night at Halesowen Cricket Club.
This money is to be added to the ‘Paul McCann Fund for Needy Children’ which is a fund set up by the family of Paul who lost his life last year in a tragic submarine accident whist serving in the Royal Navy last year.
Paul’s fund so far has raised in excess of £23,000 to be used to aid good causes. The photo shows Paul (left) with Anthony who also lost his life in the disaster.

Paul’s Sister Sharon is an active member of Stourbridge Circle and is determined to see that the fund that he would have been so proud of do the most it can for needy local children.
The girls came together to help the chaps with a bumper collection round the streets of Wollaston. In one night we raised £361 for local charities.
The Stourbridge Circlers and the rest of the West Midlands area came together to raise over £2,000 for the Parkinson’s Disease Society. This was achieved through a variety of events and a Grand Prize Draw. The final cheque was presented to the PDS in August at the soggy BBQ!

In association with Stourbridge & Brierley Hill Round Table the girls helped raise £361 for local charities. We set up the stocks and got pelted with wet sponges on a very chilly May Day. Still the local kids and teenagers had great fun getting their own back on friends and parents alike! Even the mayor had a go!!!!
